Austin Brown, nicknamed Auggie by his family and friends, was born on november 22 nd 1985 and is the son of Rebbie and Nathaniel Brown. As a chils Austin did not make much public appearances but he did sang the background vocals for the song ‘2300 Jackson Street’ along with his cousins. After a rather ‘quiet’ childhood he surprised everyone by signing with Midas Records in 2004. For Auggie, being of pop royalty is a great responsibility. He has a lot to live up to – and knows it. He had received offers from several major labels, but signed with Midas because he wanted a one-on-one relationship with the top brass.

Working closely, Midas and Auggie are considering such producers as The Underdogs, Ruben Studdard, Tyrese, Babyface, Enrique Iglesias, and Rodney Jerkins. Latest reports are that Austin also worked with beat-maker Scott Storch. Other elements that will give his debut album its gleam is Austin’s instrumentation – guitar, piano, drums, bass, and percussion, making him one very busy artist in the studio.
